PR: Access Channel 5 Programming for June 3-9
Published May 28, 2017

All the new programming for the week of June 3, featuring Chautauqua Sunrise, Town Hall Ambush: Congressman Reed and the latest Chautauqua Institution Lecture Series 2016!

Chautauqua lectures airing this week are Timur Yuskaev, "When Push Comes to Shove: Deeper Politics of Religious Pluralism" at 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM and Saskia Sassen, "Who Owns the City?" at 12:40 PM and 6:40 PM.

Chautauqua Sunrise, hosted by Doc Hamels, will feature MaryAnn Spanos, director of Office for the Aging as his guest. The program airs live county-wide on various access channels at 9:00 AM on Saturday only, then repeats at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Access Channel 5.

"Town Hall Ambush: Congressman Reed," will be shown at 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM. The raucous hour-long event, taped in Dunkirk recently, ended with the chant, "Vote him out! Vote him out!” Over the din, the Congressman can be seen, good-naturedly smiling and saying “That is democracy. Thank you all.”

All programming starts on Saturday, June 3 and runs through Friday, June 9.

Access Channel 5 is available to cable viewers in the Chautauqua, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Sherman, and Westfield areas, and can be found on channel 5 with a cable converter or on 5.3 on digital televisions without a cable converter.

The programs may also be viewed after the initial airing at the station's web site http://accesschautauquacountytv.org.
