PR: Access Channel 5 Programming for April 7-13

All the new programming for the week of April 7, featuring Chautauqua Sunrise, Defenders of Freedom, and Devon Taylor (historian for the village of Mayville and town of Chautauqua) in The Turner Winter Series.

"Defenders of Freedom" shares the first hand experiences of WWII veterans in the Western NY and Northwestern PA areas. Hosted and filmed at the Jackson Center in Jamestown NY, the project is a collaborative effort between the Center, the United Veterans Council, Chautauqua County Office of Veterans Services and local WWII authors and historians, Rolly Kidder and Phil Zimmer. Chris Palermo will be the interview this week at 12:30 PM and 6:30 PM.

The Turner Winter Series, hosted by Greg Peterson, features Devon Taylor, historian for the village of Mayville and town of Chautauqua. The program will air at 12:40 PM and at 6:40 PM.

Chautauqua Sunrise, hosted by Doc Hamels, will have guest Rusty Bova, musician. The program airs at 9:00 AM on Saturday only, then repeats at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

Repeat programming is typically re-aired throughout the week at other various time slots.

All programming starts on Saturday, April 7 and continues until Friday, April 13.

Access Channel 5 is available to cable viewers in the Chautauqua, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Sherman, and Westfield areas, and can be found on channel 5 with a cable converter or on 5.3 on digital televisions without a cable converter. Spectrum Cable will be relocating the station to channel 1301 in the near future.
