All the new programming for the week of May 12, featuring Chautauqua Sunrise, Defenders of Freedom, 'State of the County' by County Executive George Borrello, Sheriff Joe Gerace on School Safety, Fresh Perspectives and Rolling Hills Radio.

"Defenders of Freedom" shares the first hand experiences of WWII veterans in the Western NY and Northwestern PA areas. Hosted and filmed at the Jackson Center in Jamestown NY, the project is a collaborative effort between the Center, the United Veterans Council, Chautauqua County Office of Veterans Services and local WWII authors and historians, Rolly Kidder and Phil Zimmer. Featured this week at 12:30 PM and 6:30 PM will be Cornelius Feenstra.

Two videos produced by the Mayville-based ‘Chautauqua Updates’ film group will air this week at 12:50 PM and 6:50 PM. The first, Chautauqua County Executive George Borrello presents his ‘State of the County’ address at the monthly legislative meeting held for the special occasion at Chautauqua Lake High School Auditorium, April 25 (23 minutes). The second video, Sheriff Joseph Gerace spoke on the issues of school and church safety, illicit drugs, treatment and alternatives to incarceration. (47 min.)

Chautauqua Sunrise, hosted by Doc Hamels, will have guest Susan Evans discussing "Don't Write Your Obituary Yet!". The program airs live at 9:00 AM on Saturday only, then repeats at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

Fresh Perspectives, hosted by Gail Erb, will feature guests Anne Jackson and Elaine Caflisch discussing horseback riding. The program is at 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM.

Rolling Hills Radio has entertainers Joe Crookston and John Latini at 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM.

Repeat programming is typically re-aired throughout the week at other various time slots.

All programming starts on Saturday, May 12 and continues until Friday, May 18.

Access Channel 5 is available to cable viewers in the Chautauqua, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Sherman, and Westfield areas, and can be found on channel 1301.
